Accident Critical Illness Done Differently

If you have an accident or critical illness, you could face significant out-of-pocket expenses, including your medical insurance deductible, extra child care, physical therapy, and so much more. Surety Life was the first to introduce a new and innovative way of paying for Accident and Critical Illness benefits. We’ve gotten rid of the restrictive schedule of benefits so you can receive the money you need. Surety Life designed supplemental insurance to be easy to understand and simple to use.

We combine Accident Insurance with Critical Illness Insurance in one plan. So, you will receive two great benefits with one affordable premium that is not based on your age or gender, but rather on the benefit level  that you choose between $5,000 and $25,000. We make it a simple and easy way for you to find the benefit that fits your needs and budget. Check out below the two benefits and see how you can begin to protect your savings

The Accident Benefit

An affordable way to help you prepare for the unexpected and protect your hard-earned savings. We want you to worry less about how you will pay medical costs if you or someone you loved were injured. A broken leg and high deductibles should not break your bank account!

  • Benefits paid directly to you if you have health insurance or not.
  • Multiple benefit levels so you can choose a monthly cost that works for you.
  • No networks – Choose where you want to get care.
  • Premiums are not based on your age, gender or where you live, check out the chart below for benefit levels to choose from.
  • Cash for accidental injury medical costs that can help pay health insurance gaps, like a high deductibles, copays and coinsurance.

We do NOT have restrictive treatment-specific benefits that fall short of what you actually need to pay your medical bills. We determine what to pay you off of your health insurance explanation of benefits statement (EOB), after any adjustments or discounts, but before your deductible, coinsurance or co-pays. That way you will more often than not have extra cash left over to cover other cost-of-living expenses. If you do not have insurance we will pay the amount billed up to the plan benefit amount you choose.

Why Do I Need It?

  • Peace of Mind! Accidents happen – 1 in 16 people has a serious accident in the home
  • Many people have high insurance deductibles and don’t have enough in their savings to cover the medical costs
  • Out-of-pocket costs add up – physical therapy, child care, extra transportation, etc.
  • Maintain your lifestyle, without giving up things you enjoy to cover your medical costs

What Does the Accident Benefit Cover?

We will pay the covered persons care expenses due to an injury. These may include emergency care, follow-up care, ambulance, x-rays, surgeries, hospital charges and physical therapy to name a few.  Our claim process is simple and easy to submit and our goal is to get your cash to you as soon as possible so you will not have to stress about paying your bills.

How Does The Accident Benefit Work?

When you experience a covered accident that requires medical treatment, you simply start a claim and submit your Explanation of Benefits statement and other related expenses to Surety Life.  We pay before deductibles, copays and coinsurance so you may actually receive more than you owe up to your chosen benefit amount, which may allow you to cover your deductible and some non-medical expenses such as lost wages and other cost of living items. Premiums are determined on the benefit amount chosen not on your age or gender.

John’s Story

What Happened: John, was painting the trim on his house. He didn’t want to climb down to reposition his ladder. So, he thought he’d stretch just a little bit farther. Then suddenly he finds himself laying on the ground with his leg twisted in the ladder, he fell and fractured his leg.

John’s Coverage: Fortunately, as an addition to his health insurance, John had purchased Surety’s Accident with Critical Illness Insurance at the $15,000 benefit level for under $48 dollars a month.

The Solution: He received cash payments for his covered injury and related services. Because John didn’t have to use all of his own savings to cover the out-of-pocket costs related to his broken leg, he felt a lot less stressed. And he still had money left over to hire someone to finish the job.

Cash paid to John because of his injury and coverage:
